With the weather finally starting to warm up and the flowers beginning to bloom if feels like we have moved to a new season; spring is in the air and summer on the horizon. Our lives are full of seasons, many are identified in Ecclesiastes 3. Eugene Peterson translated the first verse as “There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth”. It is encouraging to know that God does have a right time for all things, too we often only see it in hindsight. What season is Anglesea Baptist entering?

It’s a story that very much reflects how, as a community of faith, we are better together. Many months ago, our church, Seaside Seconds, came together to support a family. The family were given love and space which included reading stories for young children in the ministry centre. In helping we were inspired, the lounge was created, a team formed and the disciple making begins! This is one new flower in a season of blossoming.

As we seek to align ourselves with God’s will and live out the call to make disciples what will this look like? We don’t know yet but we do know that there is a right time and that, no matter what season, God calls us to be filled again with His presence so that we may be transformed and know His perfect will.

Sunday worship at 11:00 a.m. at the Uniting Church, Murch Crescent.
