Next Steps

Everyone is welcome to join us for Sunday worship or at any of our small groups or activities but after a time you may wish to consider making a commitment to belong to Anglesea Baptist Church. Membership is about making a commitment to a body of believers. Like different parts of a physical body, church members belong to each other and contribute value to all. We are better together. (Rom 12:4-5, Eph 2:19-22, Eccles 4:9-12)

You become a member by:

Professing faith in Jesus Christ

evidenced by baptism by immersion or in special circumstances by unanimous recommendation by the church leadership.

Committing to the vision and mission of the church

evidenced by regular participation in the life of the church.

Membership demonstrates your commitment to a local body of believers and allows you to participate in the decision making by voting.

Interested but not baptised?

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Baptism by immersion is an outward act of obedience symbolising an inward acceptance of Jesus Christ.
